Description

  • The V-Fields comprise four separate gas accumulations – North Valiant, South Valiant, Vanguard and Vulcan – in the Southern North Sea.
    • The Vulcan field has 2 unmanned platforms, Vulcan 1&2
    • The Valiant field has three platforms, Valiant North 1 & 2 and Valiant South
    • The Vanguard field has just one platform
  • All of the platforms are normally unmanned
  • Gas is transported on the Lincolnshire Offshore Gas Gathering System (LOGGS) to the Theddlethorpe Gas Processing Plant

History

  • 1986 - South Valiant, Vanguard And Vulcan approved

  • 1988 - All of the platforms installed
  • 2019 - Chrysaor acquired Conocophillips's stake in the field
  • 2021 - Premier Oil and Chrysaor merge to create Harbour Energy
  • 2021 - Approval granted for North Valiant decommissioning
