- The Sable Offshore Energy Project (SOEP) encompasses one of the largest known natural gas deposits remaining to be developed in North America.
 - The project involves the development of six major natural gas fields that lie 10 to 40 kilometres (6 to 25) miles north of the edge of the Scotian Shelf.
 - The fields include **Thebaud**, **North Triumph**, and **Venture**
