 - Website: http://www.caplinepipeline.com/

+++ Brief Description
- The pipeline originates at the St James PAA Oil Terminal in St. James, Louisiana, passes near Memphis and terminates in Patoka, Illinois
 - Supply comes from the Louisiana Offshore Oil Port (LOOP)
 - The pipeline supplies crude to refineries in the Chicago area and also to the Memphis Refinery and Catlettsburg Refinery
 - The pipeline direction is probably going to be reversed within the next couple of years, enabling it to transport Bakken & Canadian crude to the Gulf Coast.

+++ Pipeline Status
- In operation

+++ History
- 2004 - Plains All American closed the acquisition of an interest in the Capline Pipeline System
 - 2014 - Study launched to assess reversing the flow

+++ Other Information
- The pipeline is chronically underutilised as growing volumes of Canadian crude reduce the demand for imported crude oils
