- 1999 - Ground preparation started
 - 2002 - Construction launched
 - 2004 - BP signs supply agreement for the Gwangyang LNG Terminal
 - 2005 - The first LNG vessel was docked in Gwangyang LNG Terminal to unload LNG for a test operation.
