Description
- The Mero field is approximately 180 kilometres from Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, and is one of the largest offshore oil fields in the world. The field will utilise 4 FPSOs, which are being added in 4 phases.
- Guanabara MV31 FPSO is capable of processing 180,000 barrels of crude oil, 424 million standard cubic feet of gas and 225,000 barrels of water injection per day, and has storage capacity of 1,400,000 barrels of crude oil.
- Sepetiba FPSO will also be installed during 2023, capacity of 180 thousand barrels of oil and 12 million cubic meters of gas per day
- A contract has also been awarded for Alexandre de Gusmão FPSO
- It will be interconnected to 15 wells, 8 of which are oil producers, 6 water and gas injectors, and 1 convertible well from producer to gas injector, through a subsea infrastructure composed of rigid production and injection pipelines and flexible service pipelines.
Contractors
- Mero 2
- TechnipFMC: engineering, procurement, construction, installation and pre-commissioning of the infield rigid riser and flowlines for production, including the water alternate gas wells. Also the installation and pre-commissioning of service flexible lines and steel tube umbilicals, as well as towing and hook up of the FPSO
- Mero 3
- Subsea 7: engineering, fabrication, installation and pre-commissioning of 80 kilometres of rigid risers and flowlines for the steel lazy wave production system, 60 kilometres of flexible service lines, 50 kilometres of umbilicals and associated infrastructure, as well as installation of FPSO mooring lines and hook-up.
- Mero 4
- Modec: FPSO
- Aker solutions: subsea production system consisting of up to 13 vertical subsea trees designed for Brazil's pre-salt, including subsea distribution units, subsea control modules and master control station for control systems and topside, and related tie-in equipment.
