Description
Zohr, a super giant field, is the largest gas discovery ever made in Egypt and in the Mediterranean Sea. Initial estimates were for 30 TCF of reserves
The field lies area of the field is 231 km2 , its in-place reserves exceed 850 bcm
Development of the field entailed a long subsea connection to an onshore gas processing plant. The field is controlled by a shallow water platform.
The field is expected to produce 2.7 bcfd per day at peak production
