* Website: http://www.ren.pt/
* Location: Sines, Portugal
* Capacity: 6.0 million tons/annum
* Status: In Operation

+++ Brief Description
* The LNG terminal consists of a docking station with a discharge capacity of 40,000 cubic meters to 165,000 cubic meters with an average discharge time of 20 hours, two storage tanks each having a capacity of 115,000 cubic meters and five open rack vaporizers for regasification.

+++ Technical Details
* Storage capacity: Two storage tanks each having a capacity of 115,000 cubic meters
* Unloading capacity:
* Send out capacity: The LNG terminal has a guaranteed (nominal) send out capacity of 600,000 cubic meters per hour (5.26 bcm per year), with a peak (interruptible) capacity of 900,000 cubic meters per hour
* Constructor:
* **Tractebel**
* Complete EPC turnkey project for the initial construction
* FEED and ITB package for the expansion project

+++ Ongoing Projects/Project Status
* The terminal is undergoing an expansion by SMM increasing the plant's receiving capacity from 6 million to 9 million metric tons of LNG per year.
* Increased regasification capacity from 900,000 nm³/h to 1,350,000 nm³/h
* Storage capacity of the terminal will be increased from 240,000 m³ to 390,000 m³ with the mechanical construction of one LNG tank with 150.000 m3 of capacity.
* The cost of the project is expected to be about $265 million, and completion is set for 2012

+++ Suppliers / Customers
* Suppliers:
* Customers: The LNG terminal was set up as a tolling facility, charging customers handling fees
